Everyone has a different definition for that. Typically, the GC gets classified as a grand tourer rather than a dedicated, since it's a bit heavy by historical standards, is a 2 + 2 coupe, and the suspension isn't so hard it will beat you to death on a long trip, but that's a more technical definition.
By what most people consider a "sports car," absolutely. Personally, I'd say if you can corner reasonably hard and slaughter Camrys and Priuses with abandon, you're in the club.

Well, here's my opinion at least:
1. FR/FMR/MR layout
2. Good weight distribution
3. Good handling
4. Adequate performance
5. Aggressive styling
Yeah I'm a "purist", RWD feels like the proper layout to me to be considered a "sports car". I kind of laugh when Nissan calls their Maxima a "four-door sports car" *HAH!* Since the GenCoupe meets all my prerequisites, I'd consider it a sports car. Grand Tourer seems accurate too. Although, with the Track suspension, I don't know...it's a little harsh...these are Americans we're talking about

I would say that these count as sports cars?
I could keep going, but you get the idea. rwd is NOT a prerequisite for a good sports car

Hehe, that's why I said my opinion. RWD is still a prerequisite for a true sports car in my opinion, you haven't changed my opinion yet so feel free to keep going
