Side Mirror Turn Signal LEDs

Side Mirror Turn Signal LEDs
DO these just stick on the outside of the mirror or do you have to remove part of the mirror itself to install them? Anyone know or ever did it before?

I'd assume you take off the mirror and use an adhesive of some sort maybe double sided tape to adhere to the back and reinstall. However I don't know how the LEDs will shine through the black coating on the back of the Mirror. Maybe the kit comes with mirrors with holes where the LEDs shine through
