Safe to put a turbo blanket on the stock turbo?

Default Safe to put a turbo blanket on the stock turbo?
Can anyone tell me if its safe to put a turbo blanket over the stock turbo? Looking to cut down on some under hood temps. Thanks.

Why wouldnt it be? For some guys your stock turbo might be the one chosen to boost a motor.

I had one for a couple years. If you ever try to take it off it disintegrates.
