My car is still pretty new and I would like to take some pre-emptive measure to prevent headlight oxidation. Any tips?
I read somewhere that getting the clear bra wrap over the headlights will prevent this but I'm not sure how true that is.

Prevent oxidation by keeping the car in a sealed vacuum chamber. This may interfere somewhat with the usability of the car but you do what you gotta do right?
The headlights will oxidize as well as get hazy from microscratches. When it starts to bother you, get a headlight polishing kit. There is no alternative since DOT only lets us have plastic headlights. Some other countries (maybe only used to?) get GLASS headlamps which are a whole different ball game.

I did my headlights some time ago. We carry Run Rite products at my warehouse and they have a whole headlight kit including the final step which is respraying the headlight with the factory hard coat. Lets be clear, its not a clear coat it is the factory hard coat, it stinks to high hell and my demo product cost is $110. Its in a spray can, a bit smaller then a normal rattle can and does up to 30 headlight. I have tried other products to clear my lenses over the years and in about 6 months or so you can see the haze returning. its been about 6 months or so with the hard coat finish and they still look brand new.
