Default Premium Fuel Tunes

If you get a tune that requires you to use premium fuel all the time, what actually happens if you put in regular or mid grade? Does it mess up the engine, or can you still drive the car fine minus the extra hp?

The knock sensor will notice and pull timing to compensate. It just means that you are relying more on the knock sensor to do its job.

Insurance and warranty are two words that come to mind here.

If you have regular fuel in your tank at the time of the tune, just buy a bottle of octane booster before the tune and fill up with premium going forward!

SixSpeed Graphix, a vendor on here. Kolie (also a member and Genesis owner) owns the company. She can do custom stickers for you if you want. The fuel door helps me remember not to blow up my engine with 87

octane boost doesn't do sh*t

If you put regular just take it easy until the tank is spent, itll still run just much slower and you can damage the motor
