BC BR racing coilovers

azgencoup 01-12-2012 12:26 PM

BC racing coils, and question how do you know if u blew the shocks? My front like keeps bottoming out and I'm not as low as most

segagen 01-12-2012 02:59 PM

I've got a set of HSD coils sitting in the corner of my living room waiting to go on.

-There should be a sign of fluid leakage if not fluid everywhere on the strut

-It'll handle like sh*t

-It'll keeping oscillating after hit a bump rather than the controlled returned to normal that it normally does. And on that same note, if you normally keep the damper settings relatively stiff, it'll now feel soft.

-They'll sometimes also make noise when blown (clicking or clunking)

-If you're still unsure, take the wheel off, compress the spring, and then try moving the shock by hand. It should be very hard to do.

There is no leaks I've looked for that thanks for the info though I'll take the wheel off this weekend and try compressing it if all that fails I might just raise the front like half an inch

I have HKS coilovers with Eibach swaybars. I had Eibach pro springs but I didn't like the ride on rough roads.

What are your dampers set at?

azgencoup 01-17-2012 11:05 PM

i believe they are 7 clicks away from the hardest setting

Blumagic 01-19-2012 08:34 AM

AZgencoupe... you hearing a clicking noise when you hit bumps????? if so I have a solution for you, 90% sure it isn't blown if it is clicking but not leaking

Megan Racing Coil-overs here.

Daniel1pist 02-14-2012 01:35 PM

Megan's.

Other owners have experienced the clunk on brand-new coilovers as well. Mine clunk every once in a while but they're not blown.

El_STiG 03-19-2012 12:05 PM

I did the R&D on the Megan Racing Coilovers, R&D on Eibach Sportlines and Sways. Now I rolling on the Eibach Pro-Street-S Coilovers with Eibachs Swaybars. <3 the suspension. Good for my touge and drifting needs. =)

Hijinx 03-24-2012 01:19 PM

I said it before, and I'll say it again. You can blow your stock shocks when you put on lowering springs.

Recurring Shock Failure

Oh, and I ride Megan Coilovers. Like 2.5" drop or something.

El_STiG 01-03-2013 01:05 PM

I Finally upgraded my coilovers again. I went from Eibach Sportline springs, to Megan Racing coilovers, then to Eibach Pro-Street-S Coilovers. To now Powered By Max "Max Pro Coilovers" these are actually the 1st coilovers I ever put my money since the rest of the others I had were for free due to R&D testing. All I gottah say is wow! You really do get what you pay for with these and they are very very damn impressive and worth every cent.

And Yes this coilover kit is the only coilover kit in this price range of $1350 that comes wit an actual rear coilover.

https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...04839933_n.jpg

And this is the only coilover kit that has an optional Top hat holes to have it set to your specific application setting for street, track, drift, and stance"slam".

I have no pics of my cars stance yet due to im still fiddeling with the highet adjustments due to running a square set up. But these are also the only coilovers that alow you to slam the car to the ground, very very low compaired to others and still maintain good handeling.
