Default Launching with traction control on

So I know what the purpose of TC is, but can it hurt the car or tranny if you launch kind of hard with it on? I did it today. The TC light flashed like its supposed to but the car seemed to not exactly like it. I did it one more time with it off and the car seemed to handle it much more smoothly.

Does the genesis cut throttle or use the brakes for its TC? When I test drove the one I almost got I never turned the TC on :-/

If the car is designed to do something, it will probably not hurt the car to do it . . . but YOU might not like it. Traction control user experience varies WILDLY by car. My wife's Buick cuts engine power and hits the antilock brakes for longer than required and the car makes ugly noises and flashes a text warning on the dash. It's obvious and disquieting. A newer BMW just takes off less quickly, like you'd expect to do.

The Gen Coupe will cut engine power under extreme cases. It won't hurt anything but what's the point?
