Sadly I have also come across a couple of owners who have cut springs and said they received the advice on that other site. One of the hundreds of reasons why I havent been on that site in over a year.

I've never seen that advice unless it was sarcastic as said. The Gen Coupe only has about an inch of travel from the factory.



I did find a couple of threads where someone asked and was quickly educated.

I have only been on GenCoupe.com for a few months, but I have yet to see anyone even mention cutting their stock springs. Other than some overzealous mods who are obviously just little kids, it seems to be ok.

I think some people know they will get flamed mercilessly if they ask publicly about it. Like Blumagic mentioned, its happening through PM and in private conversations.

Rumor and speculation. Proof of nothing as far as I'm concerned. And anyone asking about cutting springs should be flamed mercilessly.
