Default How hot do IC pipes get?

After seeing this thread https://www.hyundaiaftermarket.org/f...eintroduction/ I want to get some new IC piping and have them painted to match my car like he did. If I have a painter paint them with regular car primer and car paint will they fade or discolor from the heat?

I think I recall seeing temperatures up into the 170 range. Regular automotive paint SHOULD be fine, but I would use something rated for 250+ just to be sure it will hold up.
