Goes to show ya how much driving skill comes into play when you're up against other people.

 

Yeah it was the driving errors. Still a great watch and great to know that the Genesis can pull down the most sophisticated cars pants down!

Had a look at "RS3" tyres, and there's the problem: its an aggressive street tyre. The Genesis was on semi's, and in cars of equal weight the semi's are worth a couple of seconds alone. With the Datsun's weight, the gap would be a lot larger. You likely also have a more aggressive engine(and probably more aggressive suspension, to take advantage of the tyres...) in the Genesis, whereas with the Datsun would eat its own street tyres alive with the same settings.



This "race" is on a circuit, and on a circuit, the difference in tyres alone is MASSIVE. As you see in this video.
