Finally got my 2013 GC Coupe R-Spec 2.0T
After waiting for such a long time my gray 2013 Genesis Coupe R-Spec is finally here! I didnt have a good impression of the car at first cause I wasnt used to the 6 speed trans and the car is so wide it wasnt easy for me. Got the car with 40 miles on it now it has 120 miles and finally starting to get used to the car. Got tinted the day after I got it, look so much better

W00T to Nord Gray!
Just not a fan of the fake hood vents.
Now you just need to debadge it, put some wings on it, get an exhaust, BOV, intake, coils, and you're good to go. It may be awhile though before a tune comes out since its direct injection. If you get the basics out of the way, you'll be pretty happy though.

I agree.
Lol course the hood vents are fake! I'm not sure who let that slip up, but they're quite pointless.
Congratulations on the purchase! I think you made the right choice as far as selection. The other cars just don't quite match up. Does it have a GPS/Nav unit? Where are you supposed to put one if you want to install one? Also, NO SUNROOF?? Shocking!
What do your friends/girlfriend think about it?!

HKC: Yeah hate the hood vents. No doesnt have GPS I'm wondering also how to get a GPS installed on this thing the little screen cant be remove that shows all the settings of AC and other stuff. R-Spec dont come with sun roof. Not so many people have seen the car yet but my co-workers really like it . You were right about the space its very limited outside it looks big but small inside.
Stocker: Thanks man, yeah I'm sure I'll like the car more soon as I get used to it lol

Looks awesome. Looking at your floor mats, may I suggest a set of Weathertech replacements (provided they're available for your car). Got them for the Veloster and the fit is perfect. I feel you on fake hood vents too, haha. All they do on the V is collect water when it rains. More like bird baths......

^Bird baths, hahah nice. I'm sure they will make a nice CF hood for it that'll fix that.
I forgot that the R-spec was with limited options. Yeah I parked next to one at a car show and the owner showed it to me from up close. My first impression was "Genesis platform is huge, but the interior is almost exactly like a Tiburon minus the convenience of the hatch." The trunk opening is really tiny, just as tiny as a new Mustang, and made smaller by the tail lights.
It's still a very nice car with great updates. I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time!
