Whats up guys and girls, anybody here addicted to driving? I am talking about hopping in the car with no particular destination and driving anywhere and everywhere. Sure, it wastes gas, but who cares? If you have money to spend on fuel and love to drive then why not, right?

My wife and I did this last weekend for our anniversary! Hopped in the car Friday night in Olympia, Washington and drove all over down through the Oregon Cascades (TONS of snow) and eventually got to Reno Saturday around noon. Spent the night there and drove back Sunday getting home at 2:30am Monday.
1500 miles in a weekend, plus time hanging out in Reno.
I also flew to Washington DC and bought a Beta swapped Accent from Tak82 and drove it home. It took 62 hours total to drive across the country in December, including sleep time.
I drove to Vegas to pick up Accent parts from 03-Accent-03 in a weekend also, Drove 19 hours straight, put parts on the car, slept, drove 21 hours straight home. My GPS routed me through Utah on the way home. I have since gotten a better GPS.

I share the mutual understanding.
I'm a gearhead & driving enthusiast, though i do mostly night driving when there's less traffic on the road,
i recently installed "patreezy's" hks springs, 15x6 lancer rally wheels with 205-50-15 "86Y" bfgoodrich KD tires on my 4-door j2 and i look forward to driving my car as often as i can,
and yes, the drive to work just got a whole lot more fun,
the hyundai's of yore are much simpler, cheaper and have lower ownership costs,
kind of makes me proud that i drive a 4-door tiburon which it is techinically.

Every Sunday I drive up North to see and feel some beautiful nature, before the city swallows it whole in the next decade (27 miles one way
).
I have 150,000 on my Tiburon engine (notice I didn't say transmission lol
). There is 190,000 on the wagon engine (notice again I didn't say transmission
). ...eh the transmissions did their job, can't complain really. Only that I was expecting them to go to at least 200,000.

I love driving the Genesis but it doesnt get used too much. Usually just on the weekends and a couple days per week. I have my Jeep for the other days. Plus, the car will be going into storage come October and wont come out again until March-April. So I plan on keeping alot of miles off of it.
