There were 3 different types of Cobalt SS models:
SS Naturally-aspirated,0-60 in 7.1 seconds,quarter mile in 15.6 at 90 mph
SS Supercharged,0-60 in 5.9 seconds, quarter mile in 14.4 at 100 mph
SS Turbocharged, 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, quarter mile in 13.9 at 103 mph
The Turbocharged SS was a pretty fast car....but at the end of the day you still had a Cobalt.
according to Road & Track the 2010-12 Gencoupe track times are:
Genesis coupe 3.8, 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, quarter mile in 14.0 at 101.0 mph
Genesis coupe 2.0T, 0-60 in 6.8 seconds, quarter mile in 15.2 at 90.3 mph

I chased one on the fwy a long time ago. It was boosted. I was on his ass. He couldnt get away from me. He was modded too. Might have been running a little rich though. sh*t kept coming out of his exhaust. My car is tuned though, so. Eh... fast car around the track, but fugly ass car though.
Every Cobalt SS I see on the roads is usually owned by some punk kid that thinks he got a mad tyte ryde and drives it like its a freaking Bugatti Veyron or something.
Either that or its just a regular Cobalt with SS badges on it.
Cavalier SS's are pretty junky on the inside. Sat in a couple and couldnt believe how cheap the interior was. Plus the people who I know that have them, have constant problems all the time. So if you race one, you may get lucky and beat it because chances are it'll probably break down half way down the track, needing a tow.
