Default Cobalt SS versus Genesis

Please settle a bet. A guy I work with owns a Cobalt SS and I was telling him how much I want a Genesis for my next car. He then popped off about how his Cobalt would smoke a Genesis because they only have 200 horsepower and his car comes with 260 horses. I'm assuming hes talking about having the turbo SS vs a 2.0 Genesis. But I beg to differ. I think a Genesis would beat it even though it less power. Stock for stock does anybody know who would win? Any of you Genny owners raced an SS? Would love to shut this kid up because he talks smack all day long about how great his "cavalier" is (it is a cavalier, just like how an SRT4 is a neon...lol)

A turbo Cobalt is much faster then a stock 2010-12 2.0T. FWD be dammed, but unfortunately it also kicks our cars on the track as well.

Not sure if the 2013 MY 2.0T will be faster, but still likely not quite. If you get one I wouldn't advise racing him until you get a tune.

the turbo SS was pretty fast stock....and it will eat the 10-12 2.0T for breakfast.

if you are buying the car for straight line drag race performance only....get the 2011+ Mustang GT.

myself....I like the looks of the car and the handling traits.

with mods the 2.0T can be made a little quicker but in stock form they are 2.slow!

Maybe, but probably won't be. Only 10hp more but it weighs more as well.

theres a guy that runs a turbo cobalt ss at my local track he had straight dump exhaust under driver door an upper intercooler pipe and an e85 tune thats it It was ridiculous fast for the minimal mods. I dont remember the times but he was trapping at like 120. I know there stock twin scroll turbo and apparently they like boost.

No... 64 more HP. '12 makes 210, '13 makes 274.

No I meant the amount over what the Cobalt SS has (260), so it has 14 more HP then.
