Which car would cost more to get to 400 horsepower?
The 2.0 or 3.8?
I know its pretty much doubling the hp rating for the 2.0 to get to that level where as its only about 100 hp for the 3.8. But cost to cost, which would you have to shell out more cash for to hit that target?

the new 3.8 should be quite easy to get to the 400hp mark..
Are you talking upgrade cost or TOTAL cost anyway? would be a big difference..
in the 2010-2012 models, I'd still say the 2.0t would be cheaper to get to 400hp since you already have the basis of Forced Induction.
with the 2013 3.8, bolt-ons alone might put you near the 400hp mark, considering they are about 350 right at the dealer.
i'm guessing at least 5000$ to get that 2.0t in the video to 400hp, no? you could get to the 400hp mark much cheaper than that if you had skills I believe.

^Thats 350 at the crank though. Its only about 300hp at the wheels. Thats what they are talking about is dyno results of whp. You won't make 400 on a 3.8 Genesis without FI. Whether thats a supercharger or turbo though, who knows. I don't know what kind of kits have been developed for the 3.8 yet. I would be plenty happy with getting a 3.8 to 350 whp.
