Default 400hp Coupe Goal. Realistic?

Hey guys. Going to be buying a Genesis Coupe 2.0T GT (What its called in Canada for some reason)in about 2 years, and I have a performance goal for it of 400 hp. How realistic is this goal (as in ease of installation, price, street performance), what parts do you think I would need besides exhaust and CAI. Im fairly inexperienced with turbo's as Ive never owned a turbo'd vehicle before. I know I would need a bigger turbo, BOV, possibly bigger injectors, better fuel pump.

Any input would be great. Kinda looking how much money I would need and if I should lower my goal to 350hp or something if 400 will be too much of a hassle.

lots of internal work and a new turbo. Not realistic unless you're planning on dropping A LOT of money. There are several people working on it right now. A needed Haltech tuning option is coming, but it's anticipated to be around $1,500-2,000 alone.

Hmmm... Alright then. About how far do you think I would get with about $4-5 thousand doing all the work myself? 350hp?

I would say you needs rods/pistons, bigger turbo, 660cc injectors, bigger fuel pump(maybe the one from the v8 will fit? not sure), fuel management(haltech like he said) exhaust, intake, cams wont hurt, intercooler and a wastegate. deff possible i would say around 7.5k and all work done yourself

If I lowered my goal to 350 do you think stock internals would be fine? I cant imagine needing new rods and pistons for just 350 hp. Everything else I kinda knew tho.

This guy is running 343 whp and is on stock internals and a fairly low parts list. I might start off with a set-up like this. Maybe slowly add on after that.

TurboXS is setting up a turbo kit for $4,000 I think. New turbo, TBE, FMIC, injectors, tune, etc. and they're seeing about 330whp

but I think they're still developing a tuning solution

Hmm. That would be nice a whole kit like that. Im hoping for a bit more than 330 tho. But then again im not buying for at least 2 years (gotta wait for insurance to drop) so Ill have to see whats all developed by that time. Alot can change including the specs of the car lol.

What about tc or sc kits for the 3.8? With it coming stock with over 300 hp, I could easily see a small tc or sc kit pushing you over the 350 mark.

lol... yeah, a lot will happen. Quite a few big companies are doing a lot of R&D on twin scroll turbo kits and such. Haltech is working on stuff also. Lots to come.

2012 will have Direct Injection. It may make it more difficult to tune, but it may come out with an increase of 60hp from the factory. Better internals and stronger transmissions should also be coming.

Nobody is really doing anything for the V6. I'm not sure why, they're begging for aftermarket support but they ain't got shiz... except for an intake and a few exhaust options.

Because the V6 is weaker inside and has less potential on stock internals, beside being a PITA to work on vs. an I4?
