Default 30 series ride quality?

After seeing Visionz post about his new rims I looked around for some packages and everything I'm seeing in the 20" range comes with 275/30/20 tires in the rear. The fronts have 225/35/20. Right now I have the stock 19" R Spec rims on. If I go to a 20" rim and tire, how bad will my ride quality suck with 30/35 series tires? If theres someone on here who has them, please post and let me know.

From what I know from other people who have that small of a sidewall, it will be a little bit rougher of a ride quality, but as long as you dont hit any potholes and are careful where you're driving, you should be ok. NY has some of the worst roads in the country. I already drive like I'm autocrossing, and thats with the stock 18's and 45 series rubber on my car. Once I get the 20's put on, I wont drive any differently since I'm already careful now.

You're gonna have to learn how to drive all over again with 30 series rubber. Its a VERY rough ride with next to no sidewall at all. You will feel the road, all the bumps, cracks, and divots alot more. If your rims are not quality ones then it'll be pretty easy to bend or crack them too. Just pay attention to the roads you drive on and avoid the bad spots as much as you can.

I ran 30 series when I had 18 rims on the Tib. Once my rims where bent beyond repair, I finally learned my lesson! Ride was horrid, but Damn I looked good for a while! Reality: gonna look cool as hell, but you will most definitely sacrifice any kind of ride quality, let alone put added stress to the suspension and frame. Hell, the car itself! Remember, your tires are the first and most important part of your suspension. It's what comes in direct contact with the road surface and your tires are your initial response to road surfaces. Everything else suspension wise reacts from there.

If you can, get 35 series all the way around. The difference in speed will be minimal.
