Default 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Priced from $27,245

Though Hyundai is working on its next-generation Genesis coupe, the Korean automaker gave its 2014 model year some nice upgrades and changes.

The 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe has received powertrain and equipment changes, adding an engine RPM downshift rev-matching system as standard for models equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission. Those that opt for the manual transmission benefit from carbon-coated synchronizer rings, resulting in smoother shifts. Also added is a standard hill-start assist feature.

For the 2.0-liter turbo model, Hyundai has added a new intake sound induction pipe. As for equipment revisions, all models now come with fog lights, cruise control, auto-dimming inside mirror with HomeLink, heated mirrors and floor mats as standard. The R-Spec models sees improved seat bolsters, along with an improved navigation system, five new colors and a new cloth interior scheme.

The 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe will be priced from $27,245 including delivery, an increase of $2,100 over the 2013 model year.

I like that they are adding more colors to the R-spec versions, I was never a fan of the fact that you were limited to red, white, or black.

I'm gonna say it, that's too much for a base 2.0t Genesis Coupe.

We're not encroaching on the 30k range for a base model car. That's a bit extreme for what the GC is, and I suspect it'll hurt sales. That's a large marker for cars and people expect A LOT for that much money.

rev matching is nothing more than a "new" trick utilizing the electronic throttle body which i loathe..it's also the reason it offers safety features with weird acronyms.

although the improved manual gearbox is a welcome must have, i'm not a sucker for new cars and might wait a decade to own one..may have to consider the chinese as the new hyundai.

$2,100 bump for what? Floor mats, fog lights and new colors? They're getting waaaaay too close to 370Z pricing.
