14 horses with just an intake?
If thats true, thats pretty damn good numbers for only putting a CAI on the 3.8. Wonder if AEM would be more since the filters are in the fenderwell, versus just being under the battery like Injens. dunno.gif
So Im guessing with just an intake, good exhaust, and a couple other bolt ons...you could see a 3.8 at 350 horses. Anyone disagree? Add a nice shot of nitrous, and 400+ hp is very do-able. domodance.gif
Curious what kind of numbers a supercharged 3.8 or twin turbo would have.

Those gains are at the crank, so figure 9-10whp and 8-9 Lb/Ft. I've seen even better. The AEM gained 11.8 whp on my '01 Tiburon with the little 2.0L.

Some cars can gain 30 or more hp just from an intake. Of course, that was mostly because of how bad the stock component was and stock is not too bad for the Gen Coupe.

That actually makes me worry a little. Has the Genesis ECU been cracked? If the thing generates that much extra horsepower, I would be interested to know what the lambda looks like when its fitted and if a tune is necessary.

I haven't paid much attention to the V6, but claims are being exaggerated for the Turbo. While the CAI only adds 6hp overall, the powerband is showing a peak of 20hp at a specific RPM. They don't mention you actually lose a few ft. lbs. of torque overall.
