Default upgrade for 97 elantra wagon

my wifes car is to slow. need help on modification tips. what can i expect and what can i do. she wants a faster car. 1.8l is not up to snuff. please help

Ok, I think it depends on how you want to go about it. I have a wagon also and I started with a cone filter on the MAFS, a CAI would be better. My wife doesn't like this mod because it makes the car too loud (she drives a Sonata) rolleyes.gif You can try a Big Bore Throttle Body, It gives much better throttle response with CAI, feels faster to me. A cat back exhaust is also another usual mod although usually a loud one. I'm waiting to here from Brendan about the Brullen exhaust, it's supposed to be quiet. Those are the usual starting points, of corse you could always go with nitrous but it's not always on. I hope this helps you.
