Removed my emblems

And since the paint is a little faded, the fresh paint under the emblems is brighter and stands out more. What can I do to get it to match completely, other than having the car re-painted? Can I wet sand where the emblems where to fade it so it all matches?

A little wet sanding went a long ways for me, afterwards you couldn't tell at all.
