Offset for 2001-2002 Elantra

I am thinking about 17' wheels. Which offset should I take? I have a 2001 Elantra GT that comes with 195/60 R15. I want to go with 205/45 R17.

I've got 205/40R17's on mine with a 40 off set and about a 2" drop. I am pretty sure there is enough room for 205/45R17's though. I would just go with the 205/40's.

Hey, SCCA Street mod class 01 Elantra! I read your post about two screws that wouldn't allow you to put a wheel on. Did you just remove those screws? Is that okay to do?

yeah those screws are fine to remove. All they are there for is to minimize rotor chatter which may wear at the lugs over about 200000 miles.
