Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. Earlier Mistubishi-based Hyundai Elantras (92-95) are perfect candidates for the popular 4g63t motor swap, which turns the Hyundai Elantra into a real sleeper. These characteristics make the Hyundai Elantra a great car for those who want sports car performance with family car flexibility.

Default Mods for the 2002 Elantra

being new to the Hyundai "fold", what mods (like body kits, exhausts, chips, gauges etc.) are available for this car. I've had the car just over a week and so far I love it! Seems like the beta engine has lots of potential. The first thing I want to do, is get rid of that damn restrictive primary cat atached to the manifold, the rest of the exhaust seems pretty decent (except that "suitcase" of a rear muffler, lol). Thanks
-Andrew

Well, there is a person here that will know exactly what to say to you... actually, I can think of two.

Brendan is one of them and once he reads your post, I am 100% sure he will be responding to it.

Glad you enjoy your new vehicle. smile.gif And welcome aboard.

This car is brand new and not many parts are available for it now. We should be getting some APC cosmetic things in stock in the next couple of months like turn signal lights, etc. We are still looking for a GT here in California that we could use to test fit a prototype CAI.

i wonder if the new GT has the sorry intake that came on the 96-2000 elantras. If so that should be the first thing you take off and put a cone filter on it.
