Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. Earlier Mistubishi-based Hyundai Elantras (92-95) are perfect candidates for the popular 4g63t motor swap, which turns the Hyundai Elantra into a real sleeper. These characteristics make the Hyundai Elantra a great car for those who want sports car performance with family car flexibility.

Default Elantra vs Tib vs Beta Accent

Say you have an Elantra, RD Tib, GK Tib (2.0), and Beta Swapped Accent. Every single one of them is a 5 speed, and every single one ONLY has an intake, exhaust, and header. Same tires and rims. Who wins from a stand still to the end of a 1/4 mile track?

1st - Accent

2nd - RD Tib

3rd - GK Tib

4th - Elantra

That saying all of the drivers were equal in skill level. However, the difference between 2nd, 3rd, and 4th would be minimal.

Is the gearing in the GK enough to make up for the extra weight over the elantra?

Back in the Day When my RD was all motor, I was running V6 Gk's with I/H/E.... Yet the SE"GT" V6 6spd, was a diffrent story. That 6sp really makes that car rip...

The Elantra is sub 2000 pounds? How much you think the GK weighs? Lol.
