Confused on final primer sanding
Ive done my first round of sanding. I put 3 coats of the 2k down and I have the guide coat all done with 220 grit. Now I have to put 2 more coats of 2k down, my question is do I have to start with 400 or can i do a quick breakdown with 220 first? 400 from the start will take a long time.
Will the 400 sand out the 220 sctraches? Also does anyone do a second guide coat to to make sure its perfect?

It is pretty much never *perfect* and enough 220 might get you through all the 400 scratches, but it might also get you right through the entire coat. Patience is c.r.i.t.i.c.a.l to a really really good paint job.

U want to wet sand with 400 in soapy water in a bucket.Make sure to take your time and not to apply to much pressure. Then rinse down the vehicle with clean water and dry with microfiber towel. After that mask vehicle trim & etc. before you spray! I always use 400 grit to prep my vehicle before spraying! Plus, 400 should take out 220. And yes do a second guide coat then wet sand with 400.
