Default cold air intake for 09 elantra

anyone know of any good intakes for 09 elantra? i know im pretty limited on parts right now cause of the year of the car, but even if there arent ones made especially for the elantra are there any others that i can custom fit onto it and have it work correctly still? I did find a few, but idk much about intakes so any help is appreciated.

this seems to be one of the only ones that actually says it fits an 09, atleast the only one i found. says 07 intake but in the description it says it fits 07-09.

suggestions on others would be great. Like i said i dont know much about intakes, but i noticed some seem to add twice as much power as others, is it just the make of the intake or what? saw some come with whole kits and some come with just the pipe/filter. does that really make a diff?

Thanks again for any help smile.gif

Last I knew, intakes for this car were non existent because of problems keeping the ECU cool when the stock air box was removed. I would try and find someone that has this installed and see if they have had any CEL issues with it.

well i was just at the dealership 2 weeks ago and spoke to them about putting a cold air intake on my 08 elantra. hyundai makes a cold air intake for the 08 tiburon. the dealership said they could put it on the elantra and it would not void the warranty. they did say any other aftermarket intake will void the warranty. the dealership wanted 264.00 for the intake itself plus installation fees. needless to say i walked away.

they have to prove whatever is broken was caused by the intake. They cannot void the entire warranty based off one part being installed. Now.. if the lack of cooling smokes the ECM, they are not going to replace the ECM.

It's really not about power gain for an Elantra. If you can stay off the gas pedal because of the fun noise it makes, it may save you a couple MPG's, but that's about it.
