Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. Earlier Mistubishi-based Hyundai Elantras (92-95) are perfect candidates for the popular 4g63t motor swap, which turns the Hyundai Elantra into a real sleeper. Yes, The 2001 Elantra intake is about 1.5 months behind the Tiburon/Old Elantra intake.

Is that Elantra 5spd or Auto? many intakes for tiburons fit even the 2001 Elantra if it is 5spd and doesn't go into the fender well area, just double check with the supplier if they tested it on the 2001. If your auto you may have to wait a bit longer.

Nope, 2K1+ intake is different. Just buy a 92-95 Civic intake, cut a few inches off of it and the stock fender pick up will go right into the filter. That's what I did for my 2K1 GLS.
