Brake upgrade
I have fitted dual piston callipers to the front of my 99 lantra and also a rear disc conversion and had been running like that for a couple years, however since the front brake conversion the pedal travel before braking occurs has increased. I would like to reduce this back to factory feel. Is there a direct bolt on upgrade to achieve this?
I had found the a landcruiser master bolts up and I needed to spacer it to allow bleeding correctly but once i sorted this the pedal travel was still the same.

I have figured out my own problem partly. As I have found, hyundais braking is split through the master left front and right rear together and right front left rear, unlike the toyota master I fitted which is split front and rear.
I have read in other forums that the xg300 master works but from googling it the brake lines do not match up. Has anyone done this and has pics and can confirm you get a good pedal??
I know I can remake the brake pipes to suit but if the master doesnt match up properley then I am no better off.

As long as you are looking at upgrading your master cylinder, be sure to look at places that cater to hot rods, where you can get double-boosted vacuum masters or even electric/hydraulic assisted ones that are teeny tiny but more powerful than vacuum assist. You can also find adjustable proportioning valves. If you are willing to redo your lines, your options are pretty much unlimited.
Ended up getting a master cylinder to suit early model galant vr4, 4wd turbo model also the same as the mitsi evos. I got a 1" master pretty much bolts straight up, only had to change one line to fit. Once fitted awesome pedal feel.
Not hard at all. I actually used a line off the mitsubishi and only needed minor bending to make it work.
You dont have to change the master but If you do it makes it alot better feel of pedal, better than what it was originally as well.
