BAD NEWS !!!
WHen I put my DIS box in the car, I put it just behind the throttle body, not thinking how much the engine would rotate on the mounts. Well, the throttle body started hitting the DIS box. The DIS box won. Bent the idle screw. Now the throttle sticks at like 2000 RPM and will occationally stick at wide open throttle.
Another problem is that now I got a CEL. Not sure why, but it started showing up when I started playing with the launch control of the DIS box. I am thinking it caused my timing to go way out of wack.
SO my question is to Sam, Yam, or Random can you guys get parts for the stock throttle body on the 2001 Elantra. From the idle screw, springs and such? Or would I have to buy a whole new throttle body.
Also, am I thinking the right thing about the CEL and timing messed up due to the launch control/OBDII/ECU? I already tried to reset the ECU by pulling the fuse. Let it sit for about 15 min and I still got the CEL.
Thanks.

The CEL could be due to the high idle. The ECU really wants the idle to be at 800 rpm, and it will trigger a cel if it stays above that for too long. The "staging" setup could cause the ECU to trigger the CEL as well, thinking it is a "high idle".
I'm sure boggyman can get you the TB if you e-mail him.

The CEL will stay on for up to 3-5 days. It doesn't go off automatically.
you should REALLY get the OBD-ii cable and software if you are going to be messing with your engine to this extent. It saves a lot of headaches and worries by giving you the CEL error codes and all the sensor inputs.

They just ran a group buy on the OBD-ii software and cables. They got it for $75. I think the regular price is $120.
