Default Amplifier output connections?

What are the preferred choice of securing speaker wires on the amplifier outputs? I've always just put the speaker wire in the output and tightened the screw down. Is there a better way to make a better connection?

"Better" is subjective. Car audio is not the place where a better connection is going to sound better and Good Enough is all you need unless you are after a certain look.

I use banana clips because I remove my subs for track days. Bare wire is just messy when you're doing that.
