Default AEM intake for Elantra

I left a message on AEM's message forum asking if there were any plans on making an intake for the 2001+ Elantra. The response from AEM tech was--sorry, there are no plans for designing an intake for that vehicle.

But, the one they are making for the 4 Cyl Tib MAY fit. Same engine, we will just have to see the piping route.

Aem uses a soft mounting system using specific mounting points for the hardware. I don't know if those points will match up with the Elantra. Only way is to try and see. Maybe SR can try for you, if, they have gotten their intakes in?

It won' work anyway since our cars are MAP instead of MAF. Well I guess it would work, just with a hole in the side. I'll wait for the SR intake to be delivered.

The 4cyl in the 2003 Tib is the SAME engine in our Elantra. The airbox is the Same air box. The monuting SHOULD be the same. Both are MAP based. The V6 is MAF based.

Sorry GTR. The AEM intake is for the MAF equipped Tibs only. There is no intake listed for 2003 4Cyl tibs. Only 97-01 4 Cyl and 03 V6.
