Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. Earlier Mistubishi-based Hyundai Elantras (92-95) are perfect candidates for the popular 4g63t motor swap, which turns the Hyundai Elantra into a real sleeper. These characteristics make the Hyundai Elantra a great car for those who want sports car performance with family car flexibility.

Default 2012 Hyundai Elantra Coupe

From Hyundai Blog. May also offer the 208 hp 1.6T from the Veloster Turbo to compete directly with the Civic Si.

It'll debut at LA with the refreshed Genesis Coupe and possibly the Veloster Turbo.

WTF, looks like a damn Cobalt. What a downgrade from even the 2003 Tiburon. Ew.

Cobalt? It's supposed to carry the 4 door Elantra body lines with a sportier front bumper and the same engine options. The turbo option is far from definite.

I'm not happy with Hyundai stooping down to Cobalt territory. Wasn't that what the Accent was for?

I'm not saying a word about a refreshed Genesis Coupe because if I do, I will jinx it to hell. I will say that the current bumper looks cheap plastic, flimsy, and does no good for the brand and the styling is 2006'ish.

WIN if it beats the sedan's MPG. Local dealer can't keep sedans in stock! Sold within hours of hitting the lot

Sorry man, but I have to disagree. I love the look of the 2011 front end, and apparently, so do all the people that are buying them up before they're off the trucks at the dealership. If you look at the 06 Elantra front end, it looks exactly like mine. How can you compare the 2011 to that? It's not even close!
