2001 Elantra
For those of you who were maybe looking to modify this car dont hold your breath. Absolutely nothing anybody has works on the engine as far as intake and exhaust side of the engine. According to Sam nothing bolts up. Funny though the part numbers at the Hyundai parts catalog show that the 2001 tibby and 2001 elantra share the same exaust manifold gasket. This changes my plans drastically. All of the engine mods will be put on hold, my MSD ignition will get sent back and everything I ordered from TSR will be cancelled. And since I dont have over a month to wait for a body kit to get here and be painted and installed before I leave for Texas, nothing will get done to the car. I am not even sure about the APEX springs I ordered from MHP will fit. The 2000 Elantra spring part numbers are different. I am hoping they will still work so I dont have to send them back. I was under the impression that the 2001 Tibby and the 2001 Elantra shared engines. But they dont.
I wont be getting the body kit (Zefiro) unless Somebody at SR can guarentee that it can get to me in hawaii in less than a month.

I think you are over reacting a bit. there are several parts that are available. There is a throttle body available from Elantratech in Fxtreme, the intake from a tib manual will fit the manual 2001, thats what is confirmed for now.

Sam had said nothing from the tibbies 2.0 bolted up to the engine. What is the engine code that is in the 2001 tibby? US model. He also never mentioned Fxtreme's bbtb. I just emailed Elantra tech hopefully he will email back quick. As far as the intake which one are you reffering to?

I think KORE has an intake for the 2001 Elantra.
Onpol can modify your stock TB and Intake manifold.
Not sure on headders fitting, but why not ask sam if you can return them if they don't fit. He might give you a discount for being a "tester" for the 2001 elantra.
Lastly...welcome to the world of Hyundai aftermarket performance. Back in 1997 when the tiburons first came out...there was NOTHING for them. Hell, In 1999 when I bought mine, the only thing that was available was MHP's CAI, and later shortshifter, and HVE's products.
Thank goodness shark racing came along shortly after I got my car. According to Sam, I was one of his first 10 Customers...*laugh..the good old days*
Give KORE, Speedstate, and Shark racing more time to find/make aftermarket parts for new models. Rome wan't built in a day...and neither are aftermarket parts...

Whoa! This whole exhaust thinggy has me concerned. I am looking foreward to a 2K2 Elantra GT and using Alpines turbo kit. Do you think it will fit? Also, isn't someone using Alpines SC on a 2K1 Elantra and it fit ok right?
