Resurrecting this thread. Just ordered a rear sway bar from UltraRacing and but the distributor just found out that they've also stopped manufacturing bars for the LC. F*^&%*^&%&%^*&%*^&CK!!!!!!!

Any suggestions? The PASports bar on kdmstuff.com is too expensive.

UPDATE! (better late than never) So after months of waiting, it turns out that UltraRacing is still making the sway bar for the LC. I got it back in April and installed it before going to a 3 day race school (which was awesome). The bar came with rubber bushings so I went to a local shop and picked up 19mm Energy Suspension poly bushings instead.

So the big question: was this bar worth the wait and the money (6 months and $300 after tax & shipping + $20 for the poly bushings)? It did tighten up the body roll and added some off-throttle over-steer (fun!). But overall, I'd say no. It was a lot of money.

My recommendation is to just buy a polyurethane sway bar bushing kit. It's what I had started with and it still made a noticeable difference and was much cheaper.

Side note, is anyone interested in buying my old stock diameter poly sway bar bushings? They were on the car for about 6 months.

Run that race again with the old bar and see if you still think it was not worth the money.

My biggest complaint with the bar is the price. The WhiteLine bars were better (adjustable) and cheaper. But from what I can tell, the LC Accent is one of the least supported cars in the aftermarket (at least in North America), so I guess I'll take what I can get.

What the bar is great for is long, high-speed corners like on/off ramps. It's noticeably faster and I get this nice tightening of the back end before the car wants to slide.

I'm super happy with my adjustable Whiteline bar. Never used anything else, but I would say that for the money even at $300+ the rear sway bar was the best bang for the buck of anything I've done to my Accent.
