Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Guess I can chime in since I drive an 02 Accent GSi. She is a work in progress (aren't they all), installing a home brew intercooled turbo set up, but ran into issues with the first turbo and split the shaft in 2 earlier in the summer. Hopefully it will be up and running boosted soon with a new turbo. 1.5" Vogtland drop with KYB GR2s, Evofusion sri for now, ebay short shifter, full 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust and 16" wheels with wrapped in 205/45 Toyos. Here it is...

For shits and giggles as well as some base times I even ran it down the 1/4 mile a few times!

Broken turbo makes me sad...

Thats all for now, hopefully in the not too distant future I will be able to post some pics and vids of it running down the track again.

2000 Accent L

195000 miles - It's not pretty anymore... but still runs like a top.

Just replaced the original thermostat because the car seems to be running hotter than usual... Had to remove the gasket with a razor blade.

Checked the old one on the stove... nothing wrong with it. Looks like I will be replacing the radiator soon.

I have an accent now. bought it with a blown up motor so It's getting beta swapped. I has some dings and whatnot but when I get it running I'll worry about making it look better. I plan on blacking the whole car out. gonna paint it primer black with a satin clear coat on it. I'll get some pics up when I get a chance.

These are photographs of my current project vehicle. It is a 2001 Hyundai Brio (That is the name of the Accent in Puerto Rico).

The modifications include: Shark Racing GT Bumper, raised 2" from street level

Upper & Lower Metal Grilles w/ Driving Lights

VentShade wind deflectors, color-matched to vehicle

EGR, Inc. Rear Bumper Lip

ATH Hatch Spoiler

Owner-designed, Hand-made Rear Wing w/ Support

This is how it looks:

Many more modifications to come...
