Just want to get the opinion of those that have an Optima battery.
Usually I've replaced batteries in the past every 3-4 years to prevent a problem.
I've had my Optima Red for 3.5 years. How long should it last?
What's the longest anyone has gotten out of their Optima before it went dead?

It all depends on temperatures, cranking cycles, alternator condition and how it charges, etc... If you're worried about it, keep an eye on the voltage. Check it every other week or month as you want.

The first Optima lasted 5 years in my car, and the next one is pushing that and only slows down when it's freezing (literally) outside. Use it until it really starts slowing down when cranking, or if you're like some of us use it until it leaves you looking for someone who will give you a jump.

Optimas are overrated. If you want a battery that will last as long as your car get an Odyssey. PC 925 should do for high loads, PC 680 for just normal replacement needs.
