Here's a list of what I have done to my Accent, I'm feeling like I've done almost everything I'm willing to at the moment but wondering if there's anything obvious that I've left out.
I've redone headlights and taillights as well as the license plate and dome lights.
km/h whiteface gauges
Painted interior panels, wheel, and seats
Beta swap w/ cvvt - sri intake, stock exhaust mani, magnaflow exhaust
Zenn lowering springs
Whiteline front and rear swaybar.
I'm pretty sure that's it as far as mods.
I don't want to redo the exhaust mani for a few reasons, I can't afford to completely redo my exhaust and some day i may want to go turbo which leads me to....
I think I want this car to stay NA. Turbo seems like a lot of work and I'd almost want a mentor to teach me the ins and outs of a turbo before I get into that.
I could always get new struts, which I think I need since they're getting rather old but I feel like all this suspension material is adding a lot of weight and I need to balance sometime out in the engine department. Do you guys have any suggestions as what to do next ?

You could throw in some cams, get a fuel management program to do a fine tune. So this way you can get all the n/a out. Throw an under drive pulley, as well other pulleys (ps, alt).

I suppose that it depends on how much you want to spend and how much power you want. A low PSI turbo setup won't be too awfully hard to deal with. It's going to be your cheapest way to get a noticeable jump in power.

Zex wet kit! a nice 75 shot should do. on the beta it's been done and can withstand the long run. 2loud had his xd bottle fed for like 3-4 years spraying the SH*T out of it like every weekend. Hell he just sold the car with like 160k on it and it still ran like new.

It looks like i'll be looking at the turbo route. Guess you need to get over it at some point. I really don't want to spend too much on boosting but there's plenty of guides and things to look at on educating myself about turbos.

yeah with the Accent its realy the best and cheepest way to go. You waste too much going N/A with it for the amount of power. a DIY turbo shouldnt cost more than 1k and you can have a pretty decent increase in power over an n/a setup...

I think I need to get rims next. I'm thinking black and I definitely need something wider.
I was looking on ebay and thinking about getting spacers to widen the wheelbase. Anyone have any experience with how safe these are ?

If you're getting rims anyways just do it with backspacing and rim width. You can fit a 7.5" wide wheel with the right offset. Spacers work, but they're sort of a pain in the ass and add one more item that can fail. If you already had rims that's one thing but since you're shopping still I would just buy rims that fit how you want without a spacer.

If you want to add spacers 5mm is as big as you can go without have to replacing the wheel studs. I just picked up a set of wheels with a +35 offset and They are a tight squeeze! I'm not sure if they rub or not but when I actually get the car running I'll make sure. I already got a set of 5mm spacers to "change" the offset so to speak.
