hey, just curious here.. what would be the first thing that would max out and need to be upgraded on an x3 accent with a 1.5 sohc? (98 to be exact).
i don't think i would be near there yet (intake, tb, catback) but was just wondering...
the reason i ask is cus id like to know, but also, because i can get some beta injectors for a decent price.. and if the injectors would be the first thing to need upgraded, id get em.
i thought about just buying them anyway, and see if they make any difference.. but then i figured.. if your stock injectors aren't topped out, they don't flow as much as they possibly can do they? so even if i got injectors that were bigger, they would still only flow as much as my stock ones, correct? its just they would be able to flow more when needed, right? so id probably not see any performance increase im guessing.
just curious, thanks

You dont need bigger injectors for a LONG time man. I think you asked this question a while ago, btw. wink
If you replace you stock injectors with bigger ones, you'll run richer as the bigger injectors squirt more fuel in any given amount of time as compared to the small injectors. Running rich will kill your power.
The biggest bottle neck to performance is the Intake Manifold+Throttle Body, Exhuast system, Cams, and head ports.

alright.. yea i know about the *air* system being congested. i was just curious about the fuel dimension of it.
i don't think it was me that asked tho.. i mighta asked about putting in a tib maf sensor on an accent.. but im not sure.
..but i dunno if i ever asked it, but what if u put a tib maf and tib injetors in? dunno if that'd do ANYthing, but it makes me wonder what it'd do, if anything

I have a Tibby MAF Sensor and Sonata I4 Injectors with a similar setup to yours. The MAF sensor works fine and relieves the bottleneck there. As far as the injectors, the only change i have seen is that my second gear pickup has slightly smoothened and i actually get more mpg. I think that is due to the injector nozzle vs. nozzles on the stock injectors. I don't think you should even bother with them, I am taking mine out because they really don't help that much at all. As far as the Tibby/Elantra injectors, i have no idea what the diff. is. I own a 97 Accent 1.5L
