Tiburon throttle body
Hey! U just got my Tiburon throttle body (Thanks Shaunis!) and am ready to start the modification and instal on my 98 Accent. I had two quick questions. The first is about the sensor plug-ins. I know that I should unscrew the big one on the front from my current unit and instal it on the new one. Should I do the same with the second one? I think it's a temperature sensor. The female end from the tib is incompatible with my Accent's male end, so I was just going to swap out the female ends. Also, should I just be able to use a regular power dril to make the new holes? I'd really like to have it professionally done, but I don't want to pay too much. Thanks!

the Early TB's have 2 sensors. The newer ones only have one sensor, the TPS.
The thing you think is a "temp" connector is actually the IDLE sensor. It grounds out against the TB butterfly armature when the throttle is 100% closed.
If your accent has one on it's TB, do what you have to do to connect it. If your accent doesn't have one, just leave it disconnected.

Okay, I drilled the new holes this afternoon. Everything is set except for that sensor. I can't figure out how to take it off of the stock TB and put it on the new one. I want to be able to put it back on the Accent' TB, just in case. When I put everything back together today, still using the stock TB, I didn't connect the wire up to the sensor, just to see what would happen. The car started, acted normally, and I couldn't tell if it made any difference. If I need it, how could I connect it? Thanks again for all of your help.
