Default Tiburon 1.6?

I was wondering if the Tiburon with the 1.6 engine is the same as what the LC/LC2's have?

Alpha and Beta heads are not interchangeable at all. So if it's a Beta the heads are not the same. Different blocks, different heads.

Then whats the point?! they already have a 1.6 engine why make a Beta version? i dont know regardless i think they are similar. theres gotta be something there. beside have you guys seen any Beta motors come stock in any Accent? No they all go to Tibs an elantra's. What if thats how they monitor it? not just by code but to be able to tell what cars it goes to. Sure there is also a Beta 2.0 in the Tuscan. Who knows. i gotta see some pics of this thing.

That does seem very redundant. why would you design two different engines of the exact same displacement ? it would make sense to just use the same engine for both cars and save a ton on R&D. But.........I'm willing to bet there IS a difference and this is just one of those insanely stupid things car companies tend to do.
