Default throttle body up grade for accent

Just finished my upgrade I used the factory TB from a elantra I do believe that the tibby shares the same one! Any way I works great I had to do several mods to get this sucker to work considering they are way different in size!
The throttle body is more than double the size of the factory 1.5sohc accent!
Power is up all around and I notice a nice increase from 60mph in a forth gear roll!

Hopefully I can get doun to the dyno soon so that I can get my Super afc tuned in with the new TB!
Not a Shark racing Big bore but better than stock no doubt!!
Just wanted to shout out about it!

Congrats, now don't you feel good about doing it yourself. What mods did you have to do to get it working.

First I had to drill new holes in the bigger TB so that it would match up to my intake that was scary but since it was a prototype I wasn't really worried about drilling new holes! Prototype meaning this was the first one I had messed with!

I had to make a new gasket from rolled gasket
That you buy from the autopart stores I did all this at night and the dealers were closed so I made do with what I bought!

I had to extend my throttle cable bracket out about an inch so that the cable and TB would line up together! Just used longer bolts and a spacer to accomplish this.

I didn't have the factory rubber tube that comes with the elantra piece you know the one right off the TB so I had to make a coupling from 2" rubber and 2" round pipe to join my factory rubber coupling and the new TB!

other than this just minor problems to figure out the install really wasn't that hard once I figured out all the bugs!

I am goin to get the factory rubber coupling from a junk yard this weekend so that it has a more factory look to it it will also look more finished when I buy it!

Just adjusting the the idle and the getting the throttle cable length right so that I had good pedal feel were the only adj I really had to do!

If you want to see some pics I'm gona try to take some this weekend!
