Considering painting the rims myself, wondering how are your painted wheels doing?

I had to repaint the wheels on my tib as the previous owner painted them black. I pained them silver using regular car primer and wheel paint from autozone. Standard prepping of course. It's been six months and they still look good.

I repainted mine a little over a year ago, so far no trouble.

First I cleaned, then scuffed them with scotchbright, wiped down with acetone, then I primed them with a zinc chromate primer(yellowish green). I then painted them with flat black industrial rustoleum.

I drive my Tib year round. I painted the wheels right before the first snow and it seems to handle pretty good.
