Should I be concerned about Hydrolock?

Question for anyone: I built a cold air intake for my accent using a couple of different cheap intakes from ebay. The air filter is near the ground in between the front bumper and wheel. I appears that the wheel-well as well as plastic guard right beneath the filter will protect it from water entry, but I cut a small square hole (maybe 2"X2") that is directly beneath the filter, which appears to be there so the filter can draw air. Should I be concerned about Hydrolock because of the hole? Thanks.
I've never heard of it being a problem, since the water would have to get sucked all the way up and it would probably vaporize as soon as it hit the combustion chambers. Any chance you could post some pics? I want to do something like this too.
To hydrolock, you need to suck up a good amount of water. Mainly happens when the whole filter is submerged in the water. If you're worried about it, I'd suggest buying a bypass valve. it'll kill the chance of hydrolock occuring. What diameter piping did you use?

You have to turn your intake into a straw to hydrolock the car. You would be surprised how much water a car can suck in without damaging anything. Some of the things I've done in SUV's offroading would make your average car owner cringe.
So, don't submerge the filter and you'll be fine.
