Talking Read this if you know anything about car door locks

This has been like this since i bought my car, its very odd, i don't like it but i have learned to live with it.
I was always gonna ask on here, but never got around to it until now.
My 03 Accent locks when you get out and push the lock then walk away, then when you return to the car, you insert the key to unlock etc.
everything's fine right...

but when i unlock from drivers side, only the drivers side unlocks, but when i unlock from passenger side, both doors and the hatch unlock.
uh yeah i don't get it shouldn't it be the other way around?
and i tried turning the key again to unlock all it does nothing.
are they reversed or something.
someone tell me how to fix this thanks.

I think its suppose to be that way, kind of a safety thing so you don't forget to lock them?

Turn the key twice on the driver side, it should unlock all doors.

And you did it without removing the key?

There's a button in there that once it's hit twice in a row it's supposed to unlock all the doors. if that's not working then you have a wiring issue of some sort or the switch has an issue.

Easiest/coolest way to fix it is to have keyless entry installed. smile.gif
