Default problem starting car :(

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem I've been having recently. Sometimes since the past week when I try to start my car all I hear is "click click click click" then it will happen again and sometimes it starts. Just the other day I got stranded at walmart and it sucked.I think it may be the starter or a weak battery. The car has 35k miles on it so if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. I was wondering if I should buy a battery first and see if that fixes it or haved someone look at it? Like I said sometimes when I try to start it, it makes a clicking noise and other times it fires right up. By the way this is from my motorola droid because I am at work so really any help is appreciated.

take the battery out, go to a vatozone, get the battery tested

Yeah, get it tested. It sounds more likely than an issue with the starter, but that's the second likely issue.
