always was interested in building one that body but i heard the ecu are diff. and cant run the factory tib ecu like u can in x3s??



is this true??

the electrical problems i've had seem to be unique to the australian delivered LCs. they use a chip-in-key immobiliser for both the accent and elantra/tib. this causes problems because a) there are no diagrams on webtech for them, and b) they are designed to be tamper proof. f*cking smartra.



i'm running the factory elantra ecu, with key and smartra unit stuffed up inside the dash. that said, if (when) i build another beta accent, it will definitely be an X3/scoupe chassis. who can hate on better wiring and less weight?

i plan to go megasquirt at the end of the year. i'm actually quite keen to build my own board, looks like fun! how does the megasquirt interface with the beta loom and sensors? nothing needs to be changed?
