What are the pros and cons for installing a plenum spacer?

Buy some aluminum plate, 2 gaskets, a harbor freight transfer punch set, and a good drill index.



Then you get usefull tools and skills, as well as the spacer you want. ;)

It's also an easy way to adapt another tbody onto a Beta intake manifold, just add in a set of countersinks and use countersunk allen heads instead of studs to hold the adapter on...

There is no reason to buy a spacer for your throttle body. At least that's what that looks like. I bought an IM spacer a couple years back. That did it for me. I used to take my cr out for a quick drive come back and the manifold was really warm to touch. Almost hot. With that spacer installed it was cooler and car drove smoother. Not much of a power gain, never dynoed it, but car felt better after long drives. There was a guy custom making them and selling them for cheep $20-$30. Try looking it up.
