Performance headers
Does anyone know where i can get performance headers for my car? I have a 1999 hyundai accent, 1.5, 12v. I also was wondering about a short shifter and good clutch kit. Any help would be appreciated.

It could also be to replace the stock manifold with a failed cat. A new stock manifold with cat is more expensive than a header and a high flow cat.
I/H/E combined netted me an increase of about 13hp at the wheels on my 1.6l as measured on a Musang Dyno. That's a 12.5% gain in hp. It's not massive, but you definitely notice the difference. You can go faster with nitrous for about the same money but you only get the benefits while spraying. You can go faster with forced induction, but it is a lot more expensive, many times the PITA, and generally less reliable than NA bolt ons are.
I/H/E also increased my MPG from 36hwy to 42hwy. (about 30mpg combined to 34mpg combined) Since I have put on about 125k miles since doing I/H/E that has saved me around 500 gallons of gas. At $3.50ish on average per gallon that's $1,750. An ebay short ram ($25), a K&N filter to replace the POS that comes with the short ram ($40), the Evofusion header ($300) and the Evofusion catback ($360) comes to $725. So, I/H/E can net you over a grand in savings in 125k miles. Not too bad of a decision if you ask me.

pretty much what got me modding the hyundai in the first place, kept cracking manifolds and got tired of buying em from the yard (which is extremely hard to do considering selling a used converter is illegal, you gotta find a shop willing to sell you a "manifold" instead of a converter) so i ordered a header and being that it didnt line up correctly due to it being designed for a tib, i got a exhaust and since...
was it worth the cost of the money? not really, i honestly wish i could go back and put the money into a vehicle that i would have more fun with and more along the lines of what my true interest is, a fast classic rwd muscle d
i appreciate what ive learned in my f/i project, i just wish i learned it on somethin else

If HMA hadn't been willing to give me a new manifold/converter assembly free, an eBay header was looking like a decent alternative to buying a replacement stock exhaust that was just going to crack again.
