I went over to Shaddoh's this weekend to help him with his tranny swap, and he had his clutch out.
I put my destroyed clutch up next to it (the one i ripped half the lining off of on the pressure plate side from "abuse" rolleyes.gif ), and they seem to be identical. Also, the pressure plates are this same size.
Just what is the difference between the clutch on a tiburon and a 2001 accent 1.6L (and the other alpha's for that matter...)?

It might make sense for Hyundai to "save" parts money by using the same Flywheels and clutches/pressure plates across engines/transmissions.
I'll have to dig into HMAservice.com and see what I can find for specs for the two....

I am going to assume that the tibby clutch can handle more power, and that the tib pressure plate is stiffer. But thats about all I saw that could be different...
