Default New High Flow Filter on my Accent

Well, I am more of a stereo guy than an engine guy, but I'm sick of this lil' 1.5L. No balls. None. So I putz this lil' "Ractive" high flow air filter on. It looks kind of neat and sounds DAMN good between 4 and 6 thousand RPM. I don't think it improved performance much, but maybe it's just me.

Well my question is this: I've heard something before about resetting the computer so that it recognizes the increased air flow. How do I go about doing that? I did a couple of searches but couldn't find anything for an Accent. It's a 97 GL SOHC.

Thanks!

May not be for an accent specifically, but the ECUs should be similar, with different programming.

Er, no.....he said that they're continuously learning, and don't need to be reset.

[edit: heh, should read my own references]

And yeah, the ECU is the computer. (engine control unit)
